The present article covers some relevant aspects related to the epidemiology of respiratory infections and presents the algorithms of their diagnosis, treatment, and prevention in routine clinical practice of a pediatrician and an infectious disease physician. Particular attention is paid to the early and long-term antiviral therapy and the inclusion of inosine-pranobex into the treatment scheme. © 2019, Dynasty Publishing House. All rights reserved.
