Pediatric rheumatology care in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation

Аннотация:
Objective. To identify the main challenges in the organization of pediatric rheumatology care in the Central Federal District by analyzing the prevalence of rheumatic diseases, frequency of administration of basic and biological treatments, and their structure. Material and methods. A total of 3,940 patients with rheumatic diseases aged between 1 and 17 years are registered in 13 regions of the Central Federal District. The overall incidence of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is 62.2 per children. We used statistical and sociological methods, content analysis, and copied the information from official statistical reports. Results. The overall incidence of rheumatic diseases in these 13 regions is 65.7 per 100,000 children.
