The objective. To study the influence of hormones on preparation of the cervix to labour in pregnancy occurring after in vitro fertilisation and embryo transfer (IVF and ET) depending on the form of infertility. Patients and methods. We examined 120 women with single-fetus pregnancy. Group 1 consisted of women after IVF and ET (n = 72), group 2 (control) - with spontaneous pregnancy (n = 48). Group 1 was divided into subgroups: Subgroup 11 of pregnant women (n = 35) with tuboperitoneal infertility, subgroup 12 (n = 19) - with endocrine infertility, 13 (n = 18) - with male factor infertility. In pregnancy, placental hormones were examined. Results. At terms of 37-38 weeks, estriol levels were significantly lower in the control group in all studied subgroups (p < 0.05). In subgroups 11 and 13 progesterone levels did not have significant differences, but in subgroup 12 this parameter was significantly lower than in controls (p < 0.05).
