The objective. To assess the clinical efficacy of UPA in uterine myomas as medication capable of introducing corrections in the tactics of treatment. Patients and methods. The examination included 64 female patients aged 19 to 43 years. According to the FIGO classification (2011), the following types of uterine fibroids have been diagnosed: Type 1 - 16 (25[%]); type 2 - 19 (29.7[%]); types 3-6 - 22 (34.3[%]); in 4 (11.7[%]) patients of reproductive age a single myoma node with hybrid localisation - types 2-5 - was found. UPA (ulipristal acetate) was administered in the dose 5 mg (1 tablet) daily taken orally irrespective of meals. In all patients, therapy lasted for 180 days (2 coursed). Results. A reduction of the size of myomatous nodes was noted in 54 of 64 (84.4[%]) patients. A clinically significant decrease of uterine tumour sizes (>40[%]) that influenced the tactics of treatment was found in 34 (53.1[%]) of cases (it is noteworthy that in some cases (14/21.8[%]) the volume of myomatous nodes de
